Hollywood's top celebrity stylist, Law Roach, surprised the fashion world this year when he announced his early retirement due to burnout and Hollywood's dramatic culture. Law Roach has created numerous viral moments for many top names including Anya Taylor-Joy, Ariana Grande, Céline Dion, and most famously, Zendaya.

Looking back on such an iconic career can feel dizzying and unattainable, however, we all start somewhere. In an interview with CNN, Law Roach reflects on the early years of his career, without having any real "in" to the industry or a mentor. He went from selling clothing out of the back of his car, to owning a vintage store, to styling and dressing the stars.

Finding the right resources is incredibly important in making a start in the fashion industry. It's important to think outside the box and look for new, interesting angles outside of the usual avenues.

I hope that I am an example that any- and everything is possible. If you really stick to the core values that you're taught by whoever raised you: work really hard, be kind to people, treat people the way you want to be treated - I've impressed and done things and hopefully shifted culture a bit with that.
