With the highly anticipated live action Barbie movie coming out this summer, Margot Robbie's stylist, Andrew Mukama, has been on a roll with Robbie's Barbie inspired press tour looks. Many of these looks have been pulled from the archives of Chanel, Moschino and Versace, bringing back quintessential fashion moments from the 90s and early 2000s.

One of the many pink looks on her tour was pulled from the very fitting Versace Autumn/Winter 1994 collection which was loosely inspired by Barbie. The collection featured cable knit sweaters, metallic skirts, and an iconic photoshoot.

Mukama has also been pulling from the archives of Chanel, particularily with this classic bubblegum pink tweed jacket Robbie wore to the airport.

Wardrobe has the power to create and relive important moments in fashion history. A certain look or even colour can instantly bring up memories of a person or time. Think about the little black dress, often accompanied by the image of Audrey Hepburn with a string of pearls. Wardrobe is not only what is worn in iconic fashion moments, it is a tool for creating those fashion moments.

What do you think of Barbie core trends? And do we need a studio day for the Elevation Hall community with Barbie looks and re-create the Versace photoshoot from 1994?
